Product Description Set of two mocha cups with saucers in bone china. - Part of Alessi's 'Officina' sub-brand, these espresso cups form part of an extension project to Alessi's much-lauded 'Tea & Coffee Towers' - an exploration of the design possibilities of the product group undertaken by 22 internationally-renowned architects. The brief was to incorporate the spirit and aesthetics of the 'Towers' project into a single, simple item that would be accessible in terms of use and price. This very considered, but human, work is by David Chipperfield. London-based Chipperfield has won just about every architectural accolade of note and currently holds the Mies van der Rohe Chair in Barcelona.Gift-boxed.
