Good but the spills started 6months after a bought it. Sent: 11 December 2008 This kettle does the job of filtering and boiling water perfectly but recently it has started to spill everytime you pour it.
It seems such a waste to chuck something out after only 6months of use but I've spilled boiling water too many times on my feet in the morning to care about the environment anymore.
Shame realy as the water does taste great.
Disappointing appliance! Sent: 11 October 2008 Disappointing appliance!... Filters and boils water as expected but pours like a watering can! Wish I replaced my leaking Breville filter kettle with same :o(
Excellent Sent: 24 September 2008 This has to be one of the best kettles I've ever owned. It doesn't drip, leak or bounce across the work surface when it's boiling, and it's so quiet that I had to double-check that I HAD actually switched it on the first time I used it.
The finish is very nice, and doesn't appear "cheap and nasty" like a lot of kettles in this price bracket- even those without filters. A very nice little feature is the multi-position lead exit on the base. This means that unlike most kettles, you can actually have the right length of lead between the base and the socket, instead of not-quite-enough, or way-too-much.
The integral water filter means the end of scummy tea and nasty rings in coffee mugs, although it does take a minute or two for the water to filter through. I would suggest that you keep it topped up as a matter of course.
