Does exactly what it says Sent: 16 July 2008 Chef's Choice Electric Diamond Hone sharpener Model 110
I bought this item a week ago as I had just bought a new set of kitchen knifes and wanted to keep them in pristine condition. The sharpener did what was required after a little practice and produced a razor edge on all my knives. This product gets my 5 star rating as it does exactly what it promises.
Impressed Sent: 19 March 2008 Very Happy read the reviews and having purchased this item I am delighted with it's performance.
Blades do appear to need sharpened a little more often than before but as you only need to give them the stage 2&3 sharpening this takes a few minutes for a very sharp knife, well worth the money and will sharpen any knife to a perfect edge
Chef's Choice Diamond hone sharpener Model 110 Sent: 11 March 2008 This really works a treat...knives before couldn't cut butter, but after they were razor sharp, tested on a newspaper page after sharpening and it sliced through like a razor edge.
Well worth the price, as we have loads of knives (missus won't chuck anything out) that need sharpening.
Just read and ingest the instructions and you can't go wrong.
excellent product Sent: 07 February 2008 I would definitely recommend this product. I had reached the end of my tether with my very expensive chef's knives. Despite using a steel regularly they had become extremely blunt and worse than useless. After reading about many products, I settled on this one and it is fantastic. All my knives are now razor sharp and it is incredibly easy to use. Well worth the money.
Best I have owned Sent: 30 November 2007 I have owned various knife sharpening gadgets over the past 35 years. Wet stone, oil stone, steel, bench grinder attachments, you name it,
I've owned it and several other gadgets whose names I can no longer remember. All had a down side. Either it took a lot of time and effort, was a "blunt" (inaccurate) instrument, caused scratching of the blade or was just a pain in the derier to use. This gadget has consigned all these irritants to the dustbin of history. Just a bit of practice is required to sharpen any knife to perfection, literaly as sharp as a razor. Easy, quick, consistant and a pleasure to use. I love this gadget the most out of all my kitchen gadgets - genuinely useful.
