Thanks Amazon Sent: 22 December 2005 Great product, now it's even more difficult to mess up a home cooked meal! I want to thank Amazon for getting it to me in time for Christmas, They have been outstanding over the holiday season.
... and why not? Sent: 13 November 2005 I was a bit dubious about buying these... needn't have been!Yes... the non-stick coating's a bit thin, and I wouldn't expect to get more than two years or so out of them, but I'd rather have these, use, abuse and destroy them than wreck a really nice expensive pan set. I've used mine daily and attacked them with metal implements and scouring pads, and a year and a half down the line they're only just starting to show signs of wear. I recommend them for students and those who aren't self-professed Jamie Olivers (or Nigellas!), who abuse their cookware and aren't bothered about how they look at the end of an evening in the kitchen! At the end of the day, my philosophy with these was that they're cheap, they should serve a purpose and get the job done - and they certainly do. I have no qualms about recommending them. If you want a 'professional' set which will stand up to abuse.. you'll have to pay a bit more, I'm afraid!
Everyday Non Stick Aluminium 5 Pce Set Sent: 06 July 2005 A good buy if you don't have much money. A great starter set of pans if you're not intending on keeping them for the long term.
Good Value for money Sent: 18 June 2005 This item is of a good quality. I have had them for some months now and nothing sticks to them.Washing them is a breeze. They are medium weight aluminium not light weight like some cheaper sets. Good value for money.
Not such a bargain Sent: 14 June 2005 I recently bought a set of these saucepans as the offer seemed great value. However, I have been disappointed - after only 5 months I am already thinking of replacing them in the near future. The teflon non-stick coating on them is very thin and has quickly become scratched and worn, even though I am quite careful not to use metal implements. They don't seem to enjoy the dishwasher either. The frying pan can't cope with high heat and has mostly lost its non-stick quality. Next time I will spend more money on better quality cookware that will last.
