Unlike your first reviewer, I am very pleased with my wok. It was a replacement for another very similar wok, which now appears to be obsolete!
I never had any problems with the first wok I had which was also separate from the heating element,it never warped. So perhaps as I have only just received this one,it's too early to tell, but I have tried it out & it heated very quickly to a high temperature.
On the face of it,it appears to be very good, & I think it was excellent value for money.
