excellant product Sent: 31 August 2008 I bought one of these kenwood co606 crome can openers for my mother she is in her late 80is and has bad athritic hands this has made her life so much easier. It has no problem with corned beef tins the magnet works well great bottle opener and knive sharpener. I would highly recomend this can opener for people with hand problems and i now have got one myself. very fast delivery from amozon came within 3 days
No more struggling to open cans Sent: 04 August 2008 This can opener is better than I had expected. No force is required. You don't have to hold onto the can or the lid. Just position the can near to the bar, press down very lightly on the lever, and whoosh, off it goes. It's so quick to start, that it still makes me jump. There is also a useful knife sharpening stone at the rear of the device. It's magic!
An Absolute Boon for weak or Shaky Hands!!! Sent: 16 April 2008 The product specification is bang on. My wife and I both have been experiencing difficulties in opening cans over the last years as we are both over 70 now.The item looks so simple that we wondered if it could possibly be effective - but immediately we found that by just offering up the can in the way illustrated on the box (left hand on the can base and just bringing the cutter down lightly on the can top) - the job was done with absolutely no fuss or worry. It opened sardine tins (with no key or rip top) as smoothly and cleanly as could ever be imagined. Additionally Amazon's external supplier was an absolute treasure - at the price this product is literally an "Absolute Snip" and is simply wonderful - many thanks, it looks durable and I expect it to last a good few years.
Almost very good Sent: 15 February 2008 On the whole this product has been really good, but struggles with some the more awkward cans e.g. Fray Bentos tins.
The knife sharpening grinders are a bit of a joke as the 'low cost' manufacture means the grinders are a bit off centre and the knife guides are a bit hit and miss - for sharpening get yourself a Chantris and steel.
Summary: Very good for most tins, so I can't blame it struggling with awkward ones. Well done Beijing.
