Mixer Sent: 13 April 2008 I had it for 2 and a half years. I like Kenwood hand mixers. I use it for mixing cakes and whipping cream up.
great kitchen gadget - hard to fault Sent: 13 March 2008 Straightforward product, compact, solidly built and easy to use. There's a little button on the top to pop out the whisks. It's also reasonably quiet. When switched on, the whisks accelerate nicely, so you don't get goo shooting all over the place.
It ticks all the boxes, and for that I give it 5 stars.
short life-span Sent: 27 January 2008 I have had two of these - the first set of beaters broke within 18 months - I had made the mistake of putting them in the dishwasher. So I carefully handwashed the beaters on my second one but after about 18 months a crucial bit of plastic that holds the beater in place broke off. So, I don't think I'll be buying another Kenwood.
Poorly made Sent: 16 January 2008 Arrived in undamaged packaging but had a bent beater making it unuseable. Also, the beater release button required superhuman force to make it work.
Disapointing. I will buy a different brand as replacement.
Good, but... Sent: 15 January 2008 Good mixer, as was said before - it whisks and beats, nice and powerful.
But compared to my old one (unknown german brand Privileg, bought for just 10 EURO) it's
1. A bit heavy and not very comfortable to hold.
2. Whiskers are also quite bulky and heavy.
3. Has only 3 speeds (old one had 6) and the speed switcher was quite tough at the beginning, as well as the beaters rejection button.
Resume:
Good powerful mixer with some minor flaws. Wouldn't buy it for normal price £18, but there was a special offer from Amazon, so bought this for just £9.
