Product Description This deluxe cast iron griddle is reversible with plain and ribbed cooking surfaces. 47cm x 27cm. Thomas Plant was founded in 1850 as a family owner wholesaler of ironmongery and houseware products. Today the company is still family owned and it maintains the same values and traditions of its founders. Since the 1990's the company has focused soley on developing its kitchenware brands.

While this griddle looks fine, it doesn't distribute heat well enough – the food gets burnt where the burners are, while it's not getting enough heat in the middle.

Extremely heavy griddle. Fits over two full size rings on my gas cooker.
Needed an elaborate seasoning method before first use! You have to scouring pad it to get a surface key, then add oil and rub in, then heat it up to temperature before you cook anything on it. It isn't dishwasher proof and need seasoning after each use.
A really useful piece of kit, but needs a lot of tender loving care!
