I was disappointed that the wok is flat bottomed. this means that more oil needs to be used - more unhealthy? The plug does not stay connected unless it is pushed home firmly, and still is not reliable. I think that there should be a recess in the plug earth spigot to enable a good connection. Maybe I received a defective product. Especially as there is a plug release lever to make disconnection of the plug lead easier, in practice this lever is redundant as the earth probe with the lead fails to connect unless firmly pushed home. However, the idea is brilliant, especially if you have an electric cooker

This is a great addition to the kitchen. It is great for stir frying obviously but I have used it just as much for curries, paellas, risottos etc. The non-stick coating makes it really easy to clean. (it also looks good!) Great value for money.

Ok if you have had any other electric pans like frying pans you will find this Wok has the same problem overheating under the element and cold the further away from it that you get. Temperature control with the top off is not good but with a fairly full pan and the top on then its Ok. Cleaning is a pain as you will put it into the washing up and on pulling it out of the water if you are not careful and remember to drain the water from the element casing, as soon as the plug part is lowest any water in the casing will rush out. Not a lot of fun if you are putting the unit away and this happens.
The plug fit into the unit is not very good needs a lot of pressure to get it all the way home. Also the temperature control knob sticks when cold.
Overall for the price not bad value.

Since having this product it has made stir frys so much nicer than a typical hob wok.
