I have owned this cooker for at least 10 years. Yes, like any cooker it takes a little practice to use it. I am placing an order for a new one as I found the build quality and durabilty over the years unbeatable. I have a family and use the cooker probably 3/4 times a week at least. One pot meals, healthy pulses, soups you name it that cooker has coped with anything. I can't believe the other reviews--look at the price compared with the others- much cheaper. My mother had an aluminium one which was good, but times have moved on and the stainless one gets my order.
