Having bought this toaster for its looks it has now been relegated to the loft. The plus points are that it looks good and the controls work well with the dial controls giving pretty good control over browning. On the negative side the markings have now all but disappeared and it is so slow at toasting that it's only really suitable for thick bread. Not too thick mind you as it wouldn't fit in the slots. It toasts evenly but on anything other than thick bread it just produces dried out pieces of cardboard. I've had this toaster for a little over a year but won't be buying another Morphy Richards one.

Nice looking toaster but sadly it never gets the toast evenly browned. It also takes a lot longer than my old toaster. I have to leave it on setting 5 because when I turn it to a setting 6 or 7, to get the toast the colour I like, it comes out too crunchy and dry.

I've bought this toaster for my daughter, because I wanted to buy her something special, something which goes with her "retro" kitchen well and something easy to use. She and her family are very happy and they keep telling me how fantastic this product is. I also used it when visiting them and I fully agree that toasts are prepared in the right way and that is very easy to use it. I like Murphy Richards products, because they are reliable and I believe I've bought the right product.
