Rather than having a thin bowl The Philips ice cream maker HR2304 has a flat cylindrical pre frozen disk. So this is the spare part for that machine. I've finally bought the ice cream maker - listed twice as Philips HR2304 Ice Cream Maker and Philips HR2304/70 Ice Cream Maker. The disk is 4.6 x 17.5 cm/1.75 " x 7" apart from the cental boss and has to be prefozen for 24 hours, completely dry and in a plastic bag, dead flat in your freezer.
It does however take up a lot less space than an extra bowl. Philips suggest permanent storage in the freezer so the disk doesn't deform- it's a snug fit in the churning bowl.
