I would like to say that the service from Amazon was excellent. I live in the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus and we often have problems with delivery. The Actifry turned up well packed and arrived within a reasonable time.
I ordered two Actifry`s - one for a friend and one for myself. We are both very impressed. You really do only need a spoonful of oil to fry a generous double portion of delicious chips. You can afford to use really good quality oil too. The chips do not taste dry and are delicious. I cook mine for 4 minutes in the microwave first and then it takes 32 minutes to cook them in the Actifry. The machine is not too noisy, the equipment stays very clean as you are using so little oil and usually just needs a wipe-out with kitchen paper. Its not a huge piece of equipment and all the important bits can be put in the dishwasher.
I have also cooked pork chops with roast potatoes and was very pleased with that too. Looking forward to trying some of the other recipes, but I wish there were more of them.

I bought this with some reservation after reading mixed reviews both here and other sites. But I absolutley love it,so much so I have purchased a second. The food is second to none, chips fab and no smells, and does so much more. I am aware that only time will tell and I may well come across some of the problems others have mentioned, but for the moment, I am more than happy I went ahead and bought them. Already I feel I could not do without, and if like me you have pondered for months deciding if you should get one or not, then all I can say is go for it, I am so pleased I did.

I have used this fryer about ten times to make chips.The results were good.Instead of oil ,I have started to use beef dripping,which I feel,gives tastier chips.I am gradually reducing the amount of fat,to discover just how much is required.In the future,I intend to experiment with other foods.So far I am very pleased with the Actifry,and have no criticism to make.I would recomend it to anyone who wants to cook food with less fat.

Gone back to old deep fat fryer for cooking chips. Actifry tends to break up chips. Some tasty dishes produced.
