Seems to work fine for what I wanted Sent: 07 September 2010 Only bought this as a cheap stop-gap til I can afford a heavy duty blender/food processor. Been using it for about a month.
Having read in some negative reviews that it's not exactly robust, I try to only use it for undemanding tasks like finely chopping small quantities of fruits, onions, herbs etc, and for these tasks it works fine. One good thing about the relatively low-powered motor is that you have a lot of control when chopping (you can just pulse whatever you're processing til it's chopped to your liking). The processor is very easy to clean too - just rinse the detachable blade / bowl / lid under a running tap and leave to dry.
Recommended for anyone with realistic expectations who just wants a cheap little gadget to make life a little bit easier in the kitchen, but everyone else would probably be better off spending more money on something more sturdy and powerful.
Russell Hobbs 14568 Mini Food Processor Sent: 27 August 2010 We love this processor. It does exactley what we want it to. The main reason for buying this was to chop onions. We love the glass bowl with the lid. Its the perfect size for a small family. Extremely easy to use and to clean, my 13 year old son loves using it.Great value for money.
GREAT LITTLE MOVER Sent: 12 August 2010 Good looking product, really easy to use & ideal when there's only two of you to cook for. Put your ingredients in the sturdy glass bowl, put the lid on & whizz ! You can see exactly how finely you are chopping. You do need to move larger pieces down occassionally but this is no hardship. Fab for breadcrumbs for one, herb butters, homemade coleslaws and fresh smoothies etc ... or simply chopping an onion. Highly recommended.
mini food processor Sent: 10 August 2010 ..
cuts time crumbing base for cheesecake.
cuts making soup time to nil points. brilliant
Disappointing Sent: 06 August 2010 My main uses for a food processor are making bread crumbs and mayonnaise. The mini processor makes excellent breadcrumbs but as there is no way to drizzle oil into it other than dismantling, it is useless for making mayo.
I can't really think of any other use for it: it's too small for soups and anyway a stick blender is easier; chopping herbs, onions, garlic or vegetables is faster and better with a cooks' knife; there are no extra attachments for grating and similar. Consequently, unless you have a need for the spinning blades (to do what?) the mini processor is pretty useless.
It is well made with a sturdy glass bowl and powerful motor if that is what you are looking for.
